Fresh off conquering the immunity challenges and strategic battles on Survivor 47, winner Rachel LaMont is tackling a new kind of competition: the tabletop game industry. LaMont, alongside puzzle designer Ryan Plaisted (Vexzle Puzzles), has launched their debut game, Puzzle Hungry: Umami Rush!™, through their new company RE:SOLVE GAMES. The project, billed as a revolutionary new competitive jigsaw puzzle game, is now live on Kickstarter.

Puzzle Hungry pits 2–4 players against each other as rival chefs in a frantic race to plate unique, multi-layered food puzzles using tricky double-sided pieces — all while aiming to end the game with the most points. But the kitchen is pure chaos! Players also draw cards that can grant bonus points or unleash sabotage, like a pesky “Health Code Violation” that slows down an opponent. The result is a fast-paced battle combining puzzle-solving skill, strategic disruption, and a dash of luck.

LaMont, known for her sharp mind and dominant puzzle performances during Survivor 47, channeled the adrenaline of those high-stakes televised challenges directly into Puzzle Hungry’s design.

“Winning Survivor required adaptability, quick thinking, and immense focus under incredible pressure,” says Rachel LaMont. “I wanted to capture the intensity, the race, and the satisfaction of winning out against your opponents, bringing that feeling to everyone’s game night in a way that’s fun and accessible. Puzzle Hungry is exactly that!”

LaMont partnered with Ryan Plaisted, founder of the acclaimed Vexzle Puzzles, whose intricate laser-cut puzzle designs first caught Rachel’s eye years ago when she used them to train for the show. Together, they founded RE:SOLVE GAMES to bridge the gap between the solitary satisfaction of puzzling and the social energy of competitive board gaming.

The Kickstarter campaign for Puzzle Hungry: Umami Rush!™ launched on October 7 and was fully funded in just 36 hours. In addition to pledge levels for the main game (shipping Q2 2026), the campaign offers handcrafted wooden “food puzzle” add-ons scheduled for delivery in time for the 2025 holiday season (U.S. only).
